We like to involve our franchisees in the lease renewal process and support them with all property management concerns, to ensure it’s viable for all parties. Our Project Management Team manage all refurbishment, relocations, and new fit-outs to ensure compliance with landlords and building authorities and ensure the fit out is on brand and on budget.

Accounting & Finance Team

We provide you with accounting tools to help manage your finances. These tools will assist with debtor and creditor management, accounts payable, payroll processing and accounts receivable.

Our Finance Team is available to discuss the numbers with you and discuss financial performance. Our team have relationship with many banks and financial lenders and can guide you to ensure you are support with your finance needs.

Marketing

Ferguson Plarre has a dedicated in-house Marketing Team resourced with expert marketers, digital specialists and designers, all working to keep Ferguson Plarre front of mind and engage our guests. They will support you with materials for your store, help you with local area marketing and deliver seasonal campaigns to promote new products.

What are the benefits of owning a franchise?

Owning a franchise means a larger organisation with an established and proven system isthere to support you. You have the flexibility of owning and operating your own store, butyou can lean on a larger network for support.

Do I need business experience?

Previous business experience isn't essential but it will most certainly provide you with an advantage with running your own Bakehouse. The most important thing is that you love baking people happy!

Do I need hospitality experience?

Franchisees are not required to have hospitality experience.

Do I need baking experience?

Franchisees do not require baking experience as there is no baking involved. Our expert team in the bakehouse do all the baking for you!

Do I have to work in my Bakehouse?

We require that you work in your Bakehouse full-time. In the future, if you qualify to open multiple stores, we require you to have a store manager at one of your Bakehouses.

How much working capital will I need?

Ferguson Plarre recommends that you have at least $25,000 in working capital.

What are the franchisor fees?

The initial franchise fee is $55,000 + GST and a security deposit of $20,000. Our franchising system doesn't charge an ongoing franchising fee.

What does the franchising fee include?

The initial franchising fee includes your franchising documentation, training, cost of processing your application, store opening promotions and the use of our intellectual property (brands and systems) for the term of the agreement.

Is marketing included or extra?

Ferguson Plarre does not charge a marketing fee.

What help do I receive when I open the store?

The Training Team and your Business Support Manager will be onsite with you for the first week. They will teach you everything you need to know about running the store. You will also have weekly catchups for the first 6 months.

Franchisee training includes 4 weeks of full-time training with online, head office and in-store components. You will also receive training support in the first week of operating your new store.
